Beacon Hill may be best known for the big hospital that was once the Amazon headquarters overlooking downtown Seattle. Today, it is one of the most rapidly developed neighborhoods in town. Beacon Hill is south of downtown Seattle, perched between I-5 and I-90. The north end is populated with older houses, new developments, and small businesses including some of the most authentic global cuisine the city has to offer. The views of the Seattle skyline, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains are among the best in the city. Being at the top of the hill offers some isolation from the bustling downtown, but realistically it is only moments away, lending a convenient urban/suburban feel. Many buses and light rail cross the neighborhood, along with many bike trails. Jefferson Park has a lot to offer everyone featuring playgrounds, tennis courts, golf course in the expansive park.
